MoU Signed to Build Mini-refinery in Special Economic Zone of Imam Khomeini port
A memorandum of cooperation on the construction of mini refinery of Euro 6 petrol was signed during the commemoration ceremony of the National Transportation Day between Khuzestan Province Administration of ports and maritime and Naghshe Jahan Part Refining Company.

According to Public Relation, Director General of Khuzestan Province Administration of ports and maritime and Manager of Special Economic Zone of Imam Khomeini port whilst announcing the news said: In this ceremony that was held with the presence of Abbas Akhundi, Minister of Roads and Urban Development, Mohammad Rastad, Deputy of Roads and Urban Development Minister and Managing Director of the Marine Organization, Morteza Bank; Advisor of the President and Secretary of the Supreme Council of Free Trade -Industrial and Special Economic Zones, Deputies of the Road Minister and a group of Islamic MPs, some of the provincial governors and activists and agents of the Marine Transportation Area A Memorandum of Understanding was agreed with Naghshe Jahan Part Refining Company for the construction and operation of a mini-refinery aimed at producing Euro 6 petrol worth $ 35 million.

Deris stated referring to this pioneer large port complex in attracting private sector participation in investment projects: this large port complex has many attractions for private sector companies for value adding activities by creating the necessary infrastructure and commercial advantages of the special economic zone.

It is worth mentioning that after the start of the construction and operation of this advanced production unit, 280,000 tons of Euro 6 petrol will be produced and distributed annually in this large port complex.
